Care Services

As we get older or after an illness or operation we sometimes need a little help with parts of our life that we usually take for granted.  Having a wash or shower safely and independently in the privacy of our own home is something most of us do without thinking.  Simple tasks that we used to take for granted like preparing a hot drink, taking washing out of a machine or even putting on shoes are not as easy as they used to be.

Ainsworth Care provide experienced care staff who can come to your home to encourage you to do what you can for yourself while helping you with the things you may struggle with .  Often that little bit of help is all you need to be able to get on with the rest of your day.  We give you the confidence and independence to feel safe and secure whilst living where you want to be – in your own home.

Ainsworth Care is not just about helping you with what you need - we can also support you to do the things that you ‘want’ to do.  Perhaps you are a keen gardener but are reluctant to go to the garden centre on your own – a carer can accompany you and then perhaps stop for a coffee.  You may enjoy lunching out – we can either take you to meet up with friends or accompany you to have lunch out.  Have you an appointment on the horizon that you would like someone to take you to and bring you home from? Perhaps you want to go on holiday but the idea of getting to the airport and checking luggage in seems too daunting – we can help.

For most of us, home is where we feel safe and most comfortable. Whatever our day has thrown at us, there is a security to come in and close the door on the world. It may be that you don’t need help for yourself but have a relative who you feel is not managing as well as they once did. Most of us have busy lives and find there are not enough hours in the day to offer the on-going support they need.

We try never to forget what our service is about – the people we support

Direct Payments and Individual Budgets

Adult Care Services may provide finance through Direct Payments or Individual Budgets to help towards the cost of your care package with us. (The Department of Health want people to have greater control and choice on this aspect of their lives. If you are already receiving a care service or have been assessed as needing one by Social Services, you may be eligible for cash payments which will enable you to arrange your own care instead of receiving it directly from the County Council.)
